Certainty Thinking or the Osura Novatera (‘restorative structure’) refers to three homeostatic contingency sub-systems in the human psyche additional to the four sub-systems of Uncertainty Thinking or the Osura Krismatra that only activate in cases where the psyche in question has committed harm to, traumatised or abused another human being. These systems thus do not govern ordinary development, learning, creativity, or individuation, which under healthy conditions, are regulated almost entirely through the four meta-layers of the Osura Krismatra, which organise a person’s engagement with reality, trauma, loss, and transformation across the lifespan. The Osura Novatera sub-systems remain dormant within this architecture and are not required for ethical functioning when relationships and communities have not been seriously damaged, becoming active only when the ordinary mechanisms of growth and self-correction are no longer sufficient to restore trust, stability, and moral coherence. In these situations, Certainty Thinking provides a specialised structure for confronting responsibility, repairing injured realities, and preventing the consolidation of harm into character, culture, or destiny.
The Osura Novatera consists of three distinct sub-systems, each organised around its own restricted basal sequence and each governing a different (and generally successive) dimension of post-harm restoration. The first is the senary Osura Reivindi (‘structure of reclamation’, consisting of a basal sequence of 6 steps), which governs the restoration of ethical agency through Self Reconciliation and Reconciliation with others after wrongdoing. Beneath this operates the ternary Osura Amokantra (‘structure of equilibration’, consisting of a basal sequence of 3 steps), which governs the restoration of damaged relational, social, and material worlds once Reconciliation has been completed. The third and deepest system is the binary Osura Ultra (‘structure of chronoinsulation’, consisting of a basal sequence of 2 steps), which governs long-horizon responsibility by ensuring that future individuals will not suffer from the same failures, blind spots, or abuses. Together, these three systems allow the four primary layers of the Osura Krismatra to resume healthy operation after ethical rupture, ensuring that individuation, transfiguration, convivification, and resurrection proceed on foundations of repaired trust, restored reality, and secured timelines.
