Detailed description: This presentation offers lessons and best practices for Millennial and Generation Z Indigenous youth leaders through the example of similar leadership within the Creole-Indigenous Kristang community of Malacca, Singapore, Perth and Kuala Lumpur since December 2015 by the author, the Millennial 13th Kabesa, Cowboy of Heaven or singular non-hereditary chief and leader of the community, and its concretisation in the 2025 Sejarang Vivedra or Kristang Futures Declaration. Almost completely occluded and moribund as a visible or functional identity and community by 2015 in Singapore and worldwide as a result of severe institutional marginalisation and suppression, the Kristang culture, identity and language have undergone a dramatic reinvigoration under the author’s leadership in just ten years that saw the Kristang people accepted and publicly recognised for the first time as Indigenous in Singapore, the Kristang language institutionalised and taught in a formal academic setting for the first time in its five-hundred-year history, the complete overturning and/or obliteration of both community-internal and external stereotypes and prejudices about what it means to be Kristang in Singapore and Malaysia, the recognition of Kristang epistemology, philosophy and Indigenous ways of meaning-making as not simply legitimate but desirable and useful to other communities in Singapore and internationally, and the reawakening of the Kristang community as a powerful independent voice within the historically-curtailed space of Singapore civil society with the Kristang Futures Declaration. This presentation explores how these were achieved, and consolidates lessons and principles that other Indigenous youth leaders can use to pursue similar forms of revitalisation.

Detailed Description: Felisi, or fortuitous synchronicity, and its observance and processing through an individual’s intuitive connection to the Krismatra or Dreaming Ocean, the collective unconscious of Gaia or the entire living planet, are critical components of historical and contemporary Creole-Indigenous Kristang philosophy, spirituality and ways of perceiving and understanding reality across space and time. They are especially connected to the process of sunyeskah or dreamfishing — the creation or excavation of new Kristang words, concepts, images and frameworks from the Dreaming Ocean — and the use of dreamfishing in deriving the Osura Krismatra, the structure on which spacetime reality is psychoemotionally organised and understood in Kristang, as part of large-scale cultural revitalisation efforts led by the author, the 13th Kabesa, Cowboy of Heaven or singular non-hereditary chief and leader of the Kristang people since 2016. This presentation explores how the conscious and intentional use of felisi, sunyeskah and the Osura Krismatra have in turn led to the emergence of a limited Creole-Indigenous form of Isaac Asimov’s concept of psychohistory, especially through the articulation of the Roda Ireidra (‘Wheel of Reindividuation’): a stochastic, repeating sequence of sesentesera or groups of sixty-four years that, when aligned with the Osura Krismatra, reveals trends in large-scale or species-wide human behaviour that can be used to a limited degree to anticipate future events or species-wide developmental milestones, especially as they relate to the Kristang community. A sketch outline of major milestones anticipated in the 32nd and 33rd sesentesera (1976 to 2040 and 2040 to 2104) thereafter concludes the presentation.
